KIPPLE CROSSES

I have now started a series of Kipple Pieces as crosses. The first one was originally designed as the center piece work at the Icons of Kipple show, the rest have been made with my son Nikolas.

Roll your mouse over the cross to see a close up.

THE BIG CROSS

The most complex of all the crosses (and the only one completely finished) this one has 2 small doors with exiting interiors, is centered by a pretty nice Crucifix, has a complete little Nativity scene. The section dividers also contain some small sentances derived from a few sources. The Bible, The Koran, a steamy novel, and extracts from “Minutes to Go” by William Burroughs and Brion Gysin, which is slightly relevant. See if you can find… Mr Potato!

The other crosses are all but finished, but just need their frames built around the edges, this will clean them up and… well transform them from junk to.. er.. Art!

THE CAGE CROSS

This was the second cross made and contains a mould from my teeth, a prison section with prisoner, a lovely porcelain elephant, a plastic Virgin Mary with Lourdes water in (given to me by Nina Hagen) and thankfully, not to many spanking photos. (I’m phasing them out, children present… and all that…)

THE NUMBER TWO CROSS

Confusingly called The number two cross, because it has the number 2 proudly displayed centrally. Features chilli peppers!

THE COW CAMEL AND CLOG CROSS

The name says it all really… also featureing a snow globe and a small door.
