Mark Francombe

I played lots of instruments in the influential "dream-pop" band Cranes from 1988 to 1999. I continue to work with my modular synth, live looped, guitar electronica, soundtracks and film scores. https://markfrancombe.bandcamp.com/ I have a band called "Electricity" that I have with Martin Powell. Our debut album "Plant" was released in February 2015. available here: https://electricityplant.bandcamp.com/ I'm a filmmaker, of dark experimental films. I love obscure-animation techniques and time-lapse. I'm an artist, making "Kipple". A term derived from Philip K Dick, meaning detritus and ephemera, but my stuff is also reminiscent of Mexican magic, "day of the dead" and tacky versions of the boxes of Joseph Cornell. I'm work with Storytelling and Interactivity, am co-founder of Transform, an interactive training film company, trying to push the boundaries of e-learning and I have taught myself 3d modeling and Unity, and developed many games, VR experiments and multimedia experiments. I live with my wife Hilde, and son Nikolas, on the arty peninsula opposite Oslo called Nesodden.
